In contrast to university-based practices, Dr. Arenson’s patients see the same physician and nurse and support staff throughout their treatment and develop a personal relationship with Dr. Arenson and his team.

Because it is a private-office setting, therapy is individualized and flexible — adapted to the needs of each patient.  Each person is treated as a unique human being with unique needs who forms a partnership with Dr. Arenson in which he or she actively participates in the decision-making process.

His approach to his patients’ care includes close attention to their quality-of-life — going beyond the treatment of the tumor to include attention to the healing of the spirit as well. 

Dr. Arenson’s patients may participate in a monthly support group as well as interfaith healing services of prayer and meditation — sponsored by the Swedish Medical Center Chaplaincy — in which Dr. Arenson and his staff participate as well.

Dr. Arenson’s practice is located on the campus of both Swedish Medical Center and Colorado Neurological Institute (CNI).  These two facilities provide the critical mass of technical and professional expertise necessary to offer the highest level of treatment available anywhere. 
 

I began my journey with a dislike of Dr. Edward Arenson. I felt that he was my worst enemy at the time. He was the one to break the news to my family and me in January 2001 that I had brain cancer (glioblastoma multiforme - stage 4). What a horrific thing to hear when I felt perfectly healthy. It didn’t take long to realize that he was only the messenger — and also my best hope for survival.

Dr. Arenson and his staff were critical components of my care and survival. With his treatment rationale...I am now years from diagnosis and I can take on the world! The doctor I disliked so much is now MY SUPERSTAR as well as a friend.
